A New Start

It’s been almost two years since I made a post here. I will be honest, I abandoned it and didn’t plan on coming back. I have never really considered myself a blogger. Even when I was writing every day at my old site, I wouldn’t have called myself a blogger. I guess the question is: Why now?

I am not sure I have a good answer. When I was a teenager I thought I would be a writer one day. In high school I wrote a lot. There was a stretch when I wrote a short story every day for several months. They weren’t very good and none of them survived but I did write. I have outlined and begun so many novels and screenplays that it’s almost funny. I have not completed a single one. This is the fourth blog I have started and as I said at the start, it’s been nearly two years since sharing anything.

Why now? What do I have to say? I’m not sure but there is something inside of me that is compelling me to start writing again. I don’t expect to get famous but I won’t lie and say that I don’t care if people read what I have to say. If I didn’t want someone to read it I wouldn’t bother throwing it out here. So, I jump back into this blogging thing.

Here is my plan. Knowing me, this most likely will change but I think I’ll be more successful if I do begin with an idea of what I’m going to do. I have a tentative schedule that someone suggested years ago. I like it and am going to start there. I won’t begin it until Sunday, May 11th because we’re already half way through this week and I’ll be on the road for three days beginning this Sunday. I will fake it until then.

• Thursday – What I’m Watching
• Friday – Flashback Friday
• Saturday – The Week In Review

That’s it. We’ll see how successful I am. Once again, I won’t begin this format immediately. I’ll wing it for the next ten days. That will give me time to organize things a little better. Lord willing, tomorrow I will give an update on my life. A few things have changed since I last posted so I’ll get ya’ll up to speed.
